Does anyone know of a good launch site on the Brazos up river of tin top (way up river) to get to good spawning grounds of the sandies that most powered boats cannot get too?
Thanks in advance.

Butch Sanders probably knows. He posts a lot on this forum. I think that area is his stompin' grounds. You may be able to put in at FM 1189 at Dennis, about 12 miles upstream of the Tin Top Bridge.

If so have you fished that part going toward Tin Top before? Is it a one day or two? How is the fishing?

Yes, that's the bridge by the golf course. I haven't fished there so I can't help you with that. You could make make it from there to tin top in a day, but if the river is low and you're stopping to fish it will be a very long day, especially if there is a head wind. Find a nice high spot on a sand bar and camp out so you can take your time and enjoy the trip.

Tin Top is one of the easiest launch points you can find. There are plenty of Crappie within a couple of hundreds yards of the launch ramp around the bridge and docks. You can catch white bass by fishing against the shore with road runners upstream. It is currently 3.5 miles plus to where water is actually flowing and that is not a particularly good place to fish. Also you will have some difficulty getting there as there are some shallow flats for a couple of hundred yards. There are plenty of catfish along the way if you can find them. Deep inlets are good to try for catfish.
RealBigReel I don't go too fast but I go pretty far.

i really think with the way the river is right now, you could put in by Sugar Tree, your car would(should) be safe & you could fish up or downstream & go back to your original launch
